My personal space is about to close

The personal space is the only place nobody gets into, not even an administrator. Precisely for that reason it does not outlive whoever uses it: when an access is closed, nobody else picks up those files.

If you see a notice with a date, that is the deadline. From now until that day you can:

• download whatever you want to keep;
• move into the company space whatever the work needs — that is, into the «Files» entry of the left-hand menu, where it belongs to the organisation and stays.

What happens when the date arrives

The space is closed. If it has been arranged, an archive of what was there is prepared first and sent to an address — sometimes you have to give one, if the company one is gone. Then the space is freed up.

Until the date has passed you can come back in: if it was a mistake, or if you return, access is restored and the files are still there.

The rule that always holds

A document the company needs should not be kept in the personal space. Not for the sake of rules: because the day you are not there, nobody opens that document again. In the company space it is the company’s by construction.
