Who uses Kalendo and what they can do

«User management» is an item of the «Control centre» (the button at the bottom of the left-hand menu) and only administrators see it. It has two tabs at the top: «Users» — who uses Kalendo, each with their own typology — and «User types» — what every typology can do, that is its capabilities.

⚠️ People are not born here

They are created in Kamzan Account: the account is one for all products. From Kalendo you decide what they do inside Kalendo, not whether the person exists.

Typology and capabilities

The typology is a group of capabilities with a name — what a person can do in the product. You change the typology once and it applies to everyone who has it.

In the «User types» tab, every typology has the list of capabilities with a switch each. The personal calendar («Calendario») is always there — that one is taken from nobody. Around it you decide:

  • «Crea piu’ calendari» — the + in the «Calendars» panel.
  • «Condivisione calendari» — «Share» in the calendar’s menu.
  • «Pagine di prenotazione» and «Sondaggi» — the two items of the left-hand menu.
  • «Inviti partecipanti esterni» — inviting people from outside the company.
  • «Disponibilita’ colleghi» — the «Find a time» button.
  • «Import .ics» — «Import .ics» in the calendar’s menu.
  • «CalDAV (client esterni)», «Sincronizzazione Google Calendar», «Sincronizzazione Microsoft Calendar» — the matching tabs in Settings.
  • «Segnala occupato sul calendario aziendale» and «Calendario aziendale condiviso» — the switch in the event and the configuration tab.

When a colleague “cannot find” something

Before looking for a fault, look here: almost always the item is not there because the capability of their typology is off. In the «Users» tab you see each person’s typology and change it from there.

⚠️ There are also things that depend on the company, not the person: the company calendar is an extension and, if it is not active, it appears to nobody however many capabilities are given.

Removing access

Removing a person from Kalendo does not delete their Kamzan account and does not delete their events: it takes this product away from them.
