What the organiser can do

Everything lives in the «Participants» panel (the button in the bottom bar, on the right). Next to each name there is the role — «Host», «Co-host», «Participant», «Guest» — and, for the organiser, a row of small icons; each one’s name shows when you hover:

  • «Mute microphone» / «Ask to unmute» — turning it off is immediate and the person sees «The host muted your microphone» (they can turn it back on themselves). Turning it back on is a request: they get «The host is asking you to unmute your microphone» with «Turn on» and «Not now», and they decide. A refusal is never reported back to you: your button stays on «Request sent» for a minute, then goes back to normal.
  • «Disable camera» / «Ask to turn on camera» — same thing: the person reads «The host disabled your camera» when you turn it off, and gets «The host is asking you to turn on your camera» when you ask.
  • «Enable screen sharing» / «Revoke screen sharing» — only in meetings where sharing must be requested.
  • «Lower hand» — appears when someone has raised it (next to the name there is the little hand).
  • «Promote to co-host» / «Demote from co-host».
  • «Remove from meeting».

Anyone, even those not organising, has the «Send private message» icon.

Kicking someone out

«Remove from meeting» opens the «Remove participant» confirmation, and it is worth reading: «The participant will be disconnected immediately. If they try to rejoin within 30 minutes they will have to go through the lobby again and you’ll need to approve them. After 30 minutes — or if they try on another day — the access request will be sent to you as usual. To block them permanently you can set a password on the meeting or deny their request when it reappears in the lobby.»

That is: kicking out is not a permanent block. To really keep someone out, the way is a password on the meeting («Edit» icon on the row, «Options» step), or refusing their request when they show up again in the waiting room.

Closing for everyone

«End for everyone», at the end of the command bar, closes the room for everyone: «All participants will be disconnected.» Different from «Leave meeting», which takes only you out and leaves the others talking. From the meetings list the same is done with the «End meeting» icon on the row of a meeting «Active».
