Klokka guide
I've been asked for a clarification on an entry
It is a conversation attached to one specific entry, not a generic message: whoever opens it is looking at that row and asking why.
If you received one
You get a notification: the bell at the bottom of the left-hand menu (top right on a phone) shows a number, and clicking the notification opens the entry with the «You have a clarification request» window — the question at the top, the space for your answer underneath. Write and press «Send»: the person who asked sees it straight away.
You also find them all from the «Control centre» (the button at the bottom of the left-hand menu): in the window that opens, in the list on the left, the «Clarifications» item. At the top are the tabs «All», «To answer», «Closed».
If you are the one asking
To ask a colleague for a clarification you need to:
- In the left-hand menu, «Time entries», then the «Everyone’s time» tab at the top of the page.
- Find their entry and click, on the right of the row, the three dots «More actions» icon.
- Choose «Ask for clarification»: a window opens with the entry summarised at the top and the space for the question.
Write it so it is clear which row and what doesn’t add up — “the hours on project X on Monday look high to me, can you confirm?” is far better than “check your hours”.
When the answer is enough, in the same conversation, «Close request». The conversation stays as history in the «Closed» tab, it does not disappear.
Why it exists, rather than just rejecting
Rejecting an entry sends it back without saying what is wrong, and the person has to guess. The clarification asks the question first: most of the time the answer settles the doubt and nothing needs rejecting.
